This is my fifth year being a speech therapist at Graham Hill Elementary and it is my favorite school that I have worked at because of the students and staff! I love being a speech therapist and helping students find the best way to communicate. Some particular parts of my job I love are seeing students interact with each other in social groups, pushing into the classroom to see them apply what they have learned in our sessions, and how excited students get when they master a tricky sound! In my free time I love to hang out with my husband, Ashan and our two little kids Ayaan (3yo) and Aila (2yo). We love to go on nature walks, play basketball, and do fun science experiments. I also love to bake and love to try new foods! I am so happy to be at Graham Hill again and cannot wait to see everyone from our community again! <3

I can't believe it but this is my 19th year teaching at Graham Hill. Actually, I have been part of the Graham Hill community for 20 years. My three children attended GH and one of them was here before I joined the team. My wife use to work as a tutor and so there were a few years when the whole family was here. We even moved closer to school just because the vibe was so good and Am so honored to teach here. How close? That is a mystery for you to figure out. I enjoy cycling, hiking, college basketball and football, and going on long driving trips. Meet Mr. Leonard

I am thrilled to be back for my 8th year at Graham Hill. I love our neighborhood and our community so much! In fact, I have spent all of my 11 years at Seattle Public Schools teaching here on Graham Street. Before, Graham Hill, I was a science teacher at Aki Kurose. On the playground, soccer is my favorite game. I also love getting messy in my garden and in my kitchen.

I am grateful to work at Graham Hill as a second grade teacher for the past two years! I graduated with a B.S. from Linfield College in Health Education and minor in Psychology, and was so thankful to get my Masters in Teaching through University of Washington! I teach because I love working with students- to see their curiousity, perseverence, determination, and collaboration everyday is a gift. When I am not teaching- I am talking to friends and family, eating food (love macaroni and cheese), and hiking! I teach with humor and truly believe mistakes are wonderful and help us learn valuable lessons. And I will do everything I can to support and advocate for the students and community of Graham Hill. I have been lucky enough to be a part of the Graham Hill Community for 6 years. I love teaching 5th grade because the kids are trying out their humor and will occasionally laugh at my jokes. Its a time of change and transition for a lot of students and I am thankful to be part of the nurturing team to send off our 5th graders to middle school. I have taught in outdoor education settings and I try to bring my love for the outdoors into the classroom that feels safe for all. In addition to being a teacher at Graham, I am also a parent. My daughter is in 4th grade this year and loves to pre-read all our books in the class library to ensure that they are of good quality! Please always say hello to us if you see me around the neighborhood.

It is hard to believe that I've been working in schools for almost 20 years. This my third year at GH and I love the readers here so much. My job is to support students, families, and staff in growing our reading joy and our skills. I work with small groups of students in K-3rd grade. When I'm not reading books, I love to spend time with family and friends, garden, be outside, cook, and walk my orange tabby cat, Winnie, around the neighborhood.
